In 1987, a young John Lajeunesse founded Bragg Creek Excavating with a vision to make a lasting impact in the excavation and civil earthworks industry.  With a natural sense of fairness and a work ethic that could move mountains (literally!), John quickly earned a reputation for precision work, attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to every project.

Starting with just one machine, John worked his magic, helping homeowners, acreage owners, businesses, and developers bring their project to life.  From excavation and trenching to utility installation, road building, and site development, Bragg Creek Excavating steadily grew alongside the communities it serves throughout Bragg Creek, Rocky View County, Foothills County, Kananaskis, and beyond.

Over the years, more equipment joined the fleet, along with a growing team of skilled operators and labourers who shared John's dedication to quality workmanship and customer service. What began as a one-machine operation evolved into a trusted excavation contractor known for tackling projects of all sizes across Southern Alberta.

Fast forward a few decades (sorry, John, for adding a few grey hairs here!), and Bragg Creek Excavating remains a respected company with deep roots in the community.  While equipment and technology may have changed since 1987, the values that built the company remain the same: honesty, hard work, reliability, and treating every project as if it were our own.

Today, that legacy continues with the next generation, as Bragg Creek Excavating looks to the future while staying true to the principles that have guided the company for nearly four decades.
