Heavy Equipment Operator

Run the work site – skilled operation, precise grading, and getting it done right the first time.

Location: Bragg Creek & surrounding area
Position: Full-time (seasonal)
Pay: Based on experience
Work Type: On-site / field-based
Start: Immediate

Responsibilties

Operate heavy equipment including track hoes and dozers safely and efficiently
Utilize loaders, packers, and graders as required on site
Execute grading work to spec, including accurate grade cutting by eye
Perform utility and underground work as needed
Apply compaction techniques for stable, long-lasting results
Adapt to changing site conditions and project requirements
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor equipment repairs
Support crew with hands-on work when required

Qualifications

Proven experience operating heavy equipment (track hoes and dozers essential)
Experience with loaders, packers, and graders considered an asset
Strong understanding of grading, site work, and utility installation
Ability to read site conditions and execute precise work independently
Mechanical aptitude for basic maintenance and troubleshooting
Class 5 licence required (Class 1 or 3 preferred)
Reliable, adaptable, and willing to contribute beyond the machine
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
